Education Admission Counsellor (Germany / UK / Australia)

Job description

  • To develop good knowledge about the assigned country’s education system, universities, bachelor’s and master’s programs and admission procedures. 
  • To match student profiles with the offered programs to suit their career choices – will be responsible for shaping the student’s overseas studies
  • Counsel walk-ins and scheduled appointments
  • Track applications and ensure all communications are checked and acted upon
  • Responsible for prompt replies to student’s queries
  • Maintaining student information system, data entry and reports
  • Follow-ups with students and extended teams through emails, phone etc
  • Excellent coordination skills with team members and departments.
  • Working on specific targets and, at the same time, earning lucrative income in the form of salary, bonus and incentives.
  • Ensuring the compliance of the process and systems in the office
  • Taking the initiative and efforts to build a professional work environment, ensure that deadlines are met, and the students/ associate has a positive experience during the entire admission process.
  • Active participation and contribution during education fairs, university visits and in-house seminars organised by the company.

Desired capabilities of Candidate profile

Eligibility: 2 – 5 years of work experience required in overseas education counselling. We are also open to considering profiles from allied verticals like consulting or counselling experience in academic institutions in India or people committed to career counselling. We run certification programs, and such candidates will be hired at an appropriate level based on their current exposure.

  • Good communicator and should have superior people skills
  • Should be able to build long-term relationships with students being counselled and be empathetic to their country and career preferences.
  • Strong English language skills like speaking, reading, and listening are mandatory
  • Self-motivated and an eager learner – who is open to learning and acquiring new skills and knowledge
  • Proactive to student queries and follow-ups with different stakeholders
  • Should have good grasping power to learn and remember about different universities, programs, scholarships etc. related information
  • Participate in recruitment activities- webinars, fairs, etc.

Computer Skills

     

  • MS Office tools like Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate level) and basic computer literacy are a must.
